McDonald's donates 106,851 Saudi Riyals to support the tenth campaign of the Down Syndrome Capacity Building Program


On March 1st, McDonald's allocated the sales of its famous Big Mac sandwich to support the tenth campaign of the program aimed at building the capacities of individuals with Down syndrome. The total amount collected was 106,851 Saudi riyals, as more than 760,000 riyals have been collected from the sales of McDonald's products over the past six years, benefiting more than 2,168 individuals and professionals interested in supporting people with Down syndrome in all regions.

Continued success of McDonald's initiatives to support individuals with Down Syndrome with the completion of the tenth workshop titled "Communication Skills”


Through continuous efforts and positive initiative, we organized the tenth workshop for McDonald's Capacity Building Program of individuals with Down Syndrome, titled "Communication Skills". Over 320 parents, supervisors, and members of charitable organizations concerned with this important group, in addition to faculty members and special education experts, benefited from it.
Online meetings were held with parents and specialists to discuss important topics related to teaching children communication skills, which are one of the most important methods that enable them to interact confidently and effectively with society. During the workshops, the basic steps for teaching these vital skills were discussed, which help improve social relationships and effective communication with others.

McDonald’s concludes its ninth workshop for the “Capacity Building Program for People with Down Syndrome” in cooperation with DSCA Association at Al Ahsa region.


With remarkable success, McDonald’s concluded its workshop on the Capacities Building Program for People with Down syndrome, which was held in Al Ahsa region. The workshop lasted two full days and covered several topics including eye contact and visual communication skills, as well as the development of speech and language skills for people with Down syndrome. Over 402 representatives and members of the teaching and special education staff participated in the workshop, which also benefited interested specialists as well as the families of people with Down syndrome.

All McRoyale sales on November 22, totaled 50,051 Saudi riyals, were donated to support McDonald’s program that helps build the capabilities of Down syndrome people in cooperation with DSCA, which in return held online workshops that contributed to the support of more than 216 beneficiaries including Down Syndrome children along with their mothers, families, and those interested in them.

In our continuous support for the Down Syndrome heroes, and for the fourth year in a row, we held a campaign under the name “Your support makes them happy” on March 17th, 2021, where all McRoyale sales were donated to support McDonald’s Capacity Building Program in collaboration with DSCA, represented by their director Ms. Susan Alghanem, who was there to receive the 59,603 SAR cheque.

McDonald’s KSA’s Capacity Building Program Launched 2 Workshops Supervised by DSCA


The sixth and seventh workshops titled “Independent Skills and Puberty Stage” from the Capacity Building Program have been successfully launched online under the supervision of DSCA’s Down Syndrome specialists, and attended by over 192 people from the families of children with Down Syndrome across many regions in the Kingdom. All attendees expressed their gratitude and thanks to McDonald’s for their continuous support for the Down Syndrome community.

With the slogan “Your support matters”, McDonald’s launched a new campaign to support DSCA’s Capacity Building Program for the sixth year, where we will donate all McRoyale sales in all our branches in the Central, Eastern and Northern regions on March 17th. This program consists of workshops, supervised by Down Syndrome specialists, to help children with Down Syndrome and their parents deal with everyday life and reach a level of independence where they are active members of the society.

On December 8th, McDonald’s held a charity campaign under the name “Your support matters” for the third year in a row, where all McRoyale sales were donated to support McDonald’s Capacity Building Program in collaboration with DSCA, and concluded with a total of +60,000 SAR.

The 5th campaign to support the "Capacity Building Program for People with Down Syndrome" with 347 beneficiaries in 4 regions has launched


Under “Your support matters”, McDonald’s KSA have launched our 5th campaign to continue our constant and unlimited support to people with Down Syndrome, who have a special place in our hearts. We are going to donate all our McRoyale sales, in the Central, Eastern and Northern regions of KSA, on December 8th to support the Down Syndrome Capacity Building Program which we started in collaboration with DSCA. This program consists of workshops provided by specialists, targeting parents and associations, and aiming to reach people with Down Syndrome to help them become active, productive, and independent members of the society.

Launching the first workshop for McDonald's capacity building program in Hafr Al-Batin


The capacity building program is a training program, which aims to build and improve the capacities and capacities of families with Down syndrome in collaboration with DSCA, through training workshops conducted by specialized trainers to develop their skills. This is the second McDonald's campaign this year to support this program as it donated the sales of Big Mac on March 21, which was then 11,372 SR and was presented to the association to support the program. Indeed, the program began the implementation of the first workshops in the province of Hafr al-Batin, which received a great success and success by the people and associations in support of people with Down syndrome.

We held 3 capacity building workshops for people with Down Syndrome in 3 cities in the Kingdom


In Riyadh International Catering Company (McDonald's Saudi Arabia), we are keen to support people with Down Syndrome. We cooperated with DSCA Association, established workshops that support the DS Capacity Building Program. The workshops were held in the cities of Al-Kharj, Al-Zulfi, and Al-Majmaah, achieving a distinguished presence of more than 319 family beneficiaries and specialists from centers and schools that cater for people with Down Syndrome. The workshops have been held in the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in each region.
