McDonald's Saudi Arabia successfully concluded the Capacity Building workshop in the Al-Muzahimiyah area, benefiting more than 320 individuals from the local community and professionals. This workshop was part of McDonald's Saudi Arabia's six-year campaign to build the capacities of individuals with Down syndrome, held in collaboration with the DSCA Charity Association in Riyadh.
The workshop targeted managers and supervisors of charities and centers that focus on individuals with Down syndrome, as well as members of the special education and teaching staff. Meetings were organized with parents and specialists to discuss basic skills and topics, such as the easiest way to teach a child communication skill.
McDonald's Capacity Building Program of Individuals with Down syndrome is considered one of the initiatives that carry a positive and effective mission in changing the lives of our children with Down syndrome. It was launched in 2017 and included many workshops in the central, eastern, and northern regions of the kingdom, supervised by specialists from the Dsquared Association to develop communication skills, speech and language skills, and others.
This initiative falls under McDonald's social responsibility platform "Ajyalona." For more information, please visit the website Ajyalona.com
