Riyadh International Catering Corporation (RICC), which holds the McDonald’s franchise in the central, eastern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shraka Riyadh Charitable Association for the purpose of training and employing 10 individuals with Down syndrome.

Administration Director, Mr. Essam Bin Abdullah Al Dakhil signed the agreement on behalf of RICC along with the CEO of Shraka Association, Mr. Bandar Bin Ali Al Harbi.

It is worth noting that we employ 45 people with Down syndrome across all of our branches in the country's central, eastern, and northern regions.

We hope to integrate this precious, valuable group into society through the training and employment initiative. Our Down syndrome employees are present across more than 10 cities and are fully supported by their colleagues and the management alike. The total number of employees with Down syndrome will be 55 by the end of 2022.

This is one of many examples of McDonald's ongoing community support and strong commitment to people with Down syndrome, and it falls under the “Ajyalona” platform, McDonald’s umbrella for corporate social responsibility initiatives and efforts that support humanitarian causes, among others.
