As part of McDonald’s Saudi Arabia’s strategy to support Down syndrome and under its community service platform (Ajyalona), Riyadh International Catering Corporation, the franchisor of McDonald’s restaurants in the central, eastern and northern regions, launched its seventh campaign of McDonald’s program that supports the Capacity Building for Down Syndrome in cooperation with the DSCA Charitable Association.

The seventh McDonald's campaign for the capacity building program for Down Syndrome was launched by allocating all sales from McRoyal on November 22 to support its program to build the capabilities of people with Down syndrome in cooperation with the DSCA Association. The program, which was launched more than four years ago, aims to provide parents, mothers, specialists and everyone who deals with Down syndrome children with the latest methods and means to develop communication and other skills through holding workshops in different regions, and this time the first online workshops were held from October 31 to November 4 and the other workshops from November 7 to 11, during which they discussed behavioral manners of Down syndrome and how to deal with and overcome them. The total attendees of these workshops were 216 beneficiaries including people with Down Syndrome along with their mothers, families, and those interested in them. Nevertheless, individual sessions were carried out for mothers to discuss topics related to their Down Syndrome and how to deal with them more effectively.

It is worth noting that the first campaign to support (the capacity building program for Down Syndrome) was launched in 2018, and since then many workshops have been conducted under the supervision of specialists from DSCA in many cities in the central, eastern, and northern regions of the Kingdom.
